হাওড়া: অস্থায়ী কর্মীদের আটকে থাকা বেতন খুব শীঘ্রই মিটিয়ে দেওয়া হবে।শুক্রবার হাওড়া পুরসভায় নতুন বোর্ডের বৈঠকের পর এমনই সিদ্ধান্তের কথা জানালেন রাজ্যের সমবায়মন্ত্রী তথা পুরবোর্ডের শীর্ষ সদস্যের মধ্যে অন্যতম অরুপ রায়।তিনি জানান, পুরসভার যে ৪১৯ জন অস্থায়ী কর্মচারী আছেন কাউকেই ছাঁটাই করা হবে না।সবাইকেই কাজে বহাল রাখা হবে।একটা অর্ডার বাকি আছে।সেটি এসে গেলেই সব অস্থায়ী কর্মচারীদের বেতন মিটিয়ে দেওয়া হবে।এদিন এই বৈঠকে মন্ত্রী অরুপ রায়, রাজীব ব্যানার্জি,লক্ষীরতন শুক্লা ও শীর্ষ পুর কর্তা বিজিন কৃষ্ণ সহ অন্যান্য পুরআধিকারিকরা উপস্থিত ছিলেন।পুরবোর্ডের এই ইতিবাচক সিদ্ধান্তে খুশি সকল অস্থায়ী কর্মচারীরা।

প্রসঙ্গত, হাওড়া পুরসভার ৪১৯ জন অস্থায়ী কর্মীরা দীর্ঘ আট মাস ধরে বেতন পাচ্ছিলেন না।এই নিয়ে তাঁরা বিভিন্ন সময়ে নানা বিক্ষোভ কর্মসূচি পালন করেন।এমনকী তাঁরা পুরভবনের সামনে ধর্নায় বসেন।এদিনও বৈঠক শুরুর আগে তাঁরা বিক্ষোভ দেখান।বৈঠক শেষে তিন মন্ত্রী নিজেদের সিদ্ধান্তের কথা ওই কর্মচারীদের জানান।তাঁদের দ্বারা আস্বস্থ হয়ে কর্মীরা এখন অনেকটাই খুশি।
