দক্ষিন ২৪ পরগনাঃ অন্যান্য বছরের ন্যায় এই বছরেও হাজার হাজার পুর্নার্থী ইতিমধ্যে উপস্থিত হয়েছেন গঙ্গাসাগর মেলা চত্বর জুড়ে। জেলা প্রশাসনের তরফ থেকে রয়েছে আঁটসাঁট নিরাপত্তা। প্রতি বছরের মত এই বছরেও হাজার হাজার পুর্নার্থী রওনা দিয়েছে গঙ্গাসাগর মেলায়। সূত্রের খবর এখনও পর্যন্ত ১১ লক্ষ পুর্নার্থীর সমাগম ঘটেছে গঙ্গাসাগর মেলায়।৮ জানুয়ারি থেকে শুরু হয়েছে গঙ্গাসাগর মেলা । চলবে ১৭ জানুয়ারি পর্যন্ত ।
মেলায় দূরদুরান্ত থেকে আসা তীর্থযাত্রীদের যাতে কোনও অসুবিধা না হয় সেদিকে লক্ষ্য রেখে বিভিন্ন ব্যবস্থা নিয়েছে জেলা প্রশাসন ।আগামী বুধবার মকর সংক্রান্তি। সামনেই মকর সংক্রান্তির স্নান। তাই শুরু হয়েছে গঙ্গাসাগর মেলা। মানবসাগরের এই মেলাতে বাড়ছে মানুষের মহা-সমাগম।
ইতিমধ্যে হাজার হাজার পুর্নার্থী ভিড় জমাচ্ছেন মেলায়। প্রতি বছর লক্ষ লক্ষ পুর্নার্থীদের সমাগম ঘটে গঙ্গাসাগর মেলায়। আর এই মেলা উপলক্ষ্যে রয়েছে আঁটসাঁট নিরাপত্তা। প্রতি বছরের মত এই বছরেও বহু পুর্নার্থী রওনা দিয়েছেন গঙ্গাসাগর মেলার উদ্দেশ্যে। ইতিমধ্যে দেশের বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত থেকে লক্ষ লক্ষ তীর্থযাত্রী এবং সাধুসন্তেরা গঙ্গাসাগর দ্বীপে গিয়ে হাজির হয়েছেন।মানবসাগরের এই মেলাতে বাড়ছে মানুষের মহা-সমাগম।
