প্রদীপ কুন্ডুঃ ওয়েষ্ট বেঙ্গল গভঃ এমপ্লয়িজ ইউনিয়ন ( নবপর্যায়ে ) -এর পক্ষ থেকে কোচবিহার জেলা শাসককে স্মারকলিপি দেওয়া হলো। বিষয় ছিল বর্তমান কোচবিহার সরকারী দৃষ্টিহীন বিদ্যালয়ের অধ্যক্ষ ফনীভূষণ সেন মহাশয়ের দুর্নীতির বিরুদ্ধে। সরকারী দৃষ্টিহীন বিদ্যালয়টি পশ্চিমবঙ্গের একমাত্র প্রতিষ্ঠান যা কিনা গত ২০০৯ সাল থেকে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সমাজকল্যাণ দপ্তর -এর অধীন। সংগঠনের পক্ষ থেকে অভিযোগ করা হয় যে অধ্যক্ষ সেন দীর্ঘদিন থেকেই এই দুর্নীতির সঙ্গে জড়িত ও স্কুলের অন্ধ শিশু-কিশোর-কিশোরীদের জন্য নির্দিষ্ট রেশন অন্যায় ভাবে সরবরাহ না দিয়ে পরিবর্তে অর্থ নিয়ে সরকারী অর্থের তছরূপ করে শিশুদের মুখের গ্রাসে ভাগ বসাচ্ছেন। বিভিন্ন সময়ে সংগঠনের পক্ষ থেকে প্রশাসনকে এই ব্যপারে অভিযোগ করা সত্ত্বেও প্রশাসনিক ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হয়নি। তাই দৃষ্টান্ত মূলক শাস্তির দাবিতে এই স্মারকলিপি দেওয়া হলো। উপস্থিত সাংবাদিকদের জেলা শাসক ( অতিরিক্ত ) জানান, আধিকারীকদের দিয়ে এই বিষয়ে তদন্ত করা হবে। সংগঠন থেকে দাবী করা হয় যে, অধ্যক্ষের দুর্নীতির বিরুদ্ধে জনমানসে যে ক্ষোভের সঞ্চার হয়েছে তা নির্মূল করা হোক। অধ্যক্ষের প্রতিক্রিয়া জানতে যোগাযোগ করা হলে তাঁর মোবাইল বন্ধ রাখা ছিল তাই অধ্যক্ষের কোন প্রতিক্রিয়া জানা যায়নি।
