খবরইন্ডিয়াঅনলাইনঃ ভিক্ষা চেয়েছিল ছোট্ট ছেলেটি। জবাবে টাকা নয়, বুট পরা পায়ে কষিয়ে এক লাথি পেয়েছে সে। মন্ত্রীর পা না ছাড়ায় ওই কিশোরকে মার খেতে হয়েছে নিরাপত্তারক্ষীদেরও।
গরিব কিশোরের সঙ্গে এমন আচরণের জন্য ফের বিতর্কে জড়ালেন ভারতের মধ্যপ্রদেশের প্রাণী সম্পদ বিকাশ মন্ত্রী কুসুম মেহেদেলে।
তার এই কীর্তির ভিডিও প্রকাশ্যে আসার পর থেকই মুখে কুলুপ এঁটেছেন মন্ত্রী। জনপ্রিয় সংবাদমাধ্যম এনডিটিভির এক প্রতিবেদনে থেকে এমন খবরই জানা গিয়েছে।
এ ঘটনার পর বিজেপি শাসিত মধ্যপ্রদেশের প্রাণী সম্পদ বিকাশ মন্ত্রীর পদত্যাগের দাবিতে সরব একাধিক সংগঠন। সমালোচনার ঝড় উঠলেও মুখে কুলুপ মন্ত্রী ও তার দলের।
প্রতিবেদন থেকে জানা যায়, রবিবার ছিল মধ্যপ্রদেশের প্রতিষ্ঠা দিবস। পান্না এলাকার একটি বাসস্ট্যান্ডে স্বচ্ছতা অভিযান পরিদর্শনে যান বিজেপি শাসিত মধ্যপ্রদেশের প্রাণী সম্পদ বিকাশ মন্ত্রী কুসুম মেহেদেলে।
অভিযোগ, অনুষ্ঠান শেষে কুসুম যখন গাড়িতে উঠতে যাবেন, ঠিক ওই সময়ই ১৪ বছরের এক কিশোর মন্ত্রীর পা ধরে ভিক্ষে চায়। আর তারপরই ওই কিশোরকে সামনে থেকে সরাতে সরাসরি লাথি মারেন প্রবীণ এই মন্ত্রী!
এ ঘটনার পর মন্ত্রীর নিরাপত্তারক্ষীরা ওই কিশোরকে মারতে শুরু করেন। পরে ওই বালককে টেনে হিচড়ে সরিয়ে মন্ত্রীকে গাড়িতে তুলে দেন তারা। স্থানীয়রা এ ঘটানায় স্তম্ভিত।
এদিকে সাংবাদিকদের এড়িয়ে গাড়িতে উঠে বসার সাথে সাথে এলাকা ছাড়েন তিনি। পরেও এ ঘটনার বিষয়ে কোনো কথা বলতে চাননি তিনি। তার দল বিজেপির পক্ষ থেকেও কিছু জানাতে চাননি কেউ।
এদিকে মধ্যপ্রদেশের এই মন্ত্রীর লাথি মারার ভিডিও ফুটেজ প্রকাশ্যে আসতেই দেশজুড়ে তোলপাড় শুরু হয়। একাধিক মানবাধিকার সংগঠন কুসুম মেহদেলের পদত্যাগ দাবি করেন।
যদিও এটাই প্রথম নয়। এর আগেও একাধিকবার নিজের কীর্তির জেরে শিরোনামে এসেছেন শিবরাজ সিংহ চৌহানের এই মন্ত্রী।
কখনও পশু খামারে মশার কামড়ের জেরে আধিকারিকদের দেখে নেওয়ার হুমকি দিয়েছেন, কখনও বাঘ, সিংহের মতো প্রাণীকে গৃহপালিত করার কথা বলে বন দফতরকে আইন করার প্রস্তাব দিয়ে বিতর্কে জড়িয়েছেন।
