পরিতোষ বর্মণঃ মধ্যরাতে বেপরোয়া ভাবে মোটর বাইক চালানোর চরম মাসুল দিতে হল কুশমণ্ডি ব্লকের গোবরা বিল ও লোহাগঞ্জ এলাকার চার যুবককে। মঙ্গলবার মধ্যরাতে নিয়ন্ত্রণ হারিয়ে বাইক দুর্ঘটনায় মৃত্যু হয়েছে দুই যুবকের। বর্তমানে আশঙ্কাজনক অবস্থায় মালদা মেডিকাল কলেজ হাসপাতালে ভর্তি রয়েছে বাকি দুই যুবক।
মঙ্গলবার গঙ্গারামপুরে একটি অনুষ্ঠানে যোগ দেওয়ার পর একটি বাইকের চরে বাড়ি ফিরছিল কুশমণ্ডি ব্লকের গোবরা বিল এলাকার শ্রীমন্ত সরেন, দিলীপ সরেন ও লোহাগঞ্জ এলাকার জয়রাম সরেন, প্রসেনজিত সরেন নামে ওই চার যুবক। এক বাইকে চারজন তার ওপর বেপরোয়াভাবে বাইক চালিয়ে যাওয়ার সময় স্থানীয় দহপাড়া এলাকায় নিয়ন্ত্রণ হারিয়ে রাস্তার পাশে একটি গাছে ধাক্কা মারে বাইকটি। ঘটনায় গুরুতর আহত হয় ওই চার যুবক। স্থানীয়রা জানতে পেরে তড়িঘড়ি আহতদের গঙ্গারামপুর মহকুমা হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যায়। সেখানে চিকিৎসক আহত চার যুবকের মধ্যে শ্রীমন্ত সরেন ও দিলীপ সরেনকে মৃত বলে ঘোষণা করে। বাকি দুজনের শারীরিক অবস্থা আশঙ্কাজনক হওয়ায় তাদের মালদা মেডিক্যাল কলেজ হাসপাতালে রেফার করে। বর্তমানে সেখানেই আহত জয়রাম ও প্রসেনজিত সরেনের চিকিৎসা চলছে বলে জানা গিয়েছে।
