মধুমিতা : হাতে গোনা আর মাত্র কয়েকদিন। নতুন বছরে জানুয়ারী মাসের দ্বিতীয় সপ্তাহে শুরু হতে চলেছে গঙ্গাসাগর মেলা। গঙ্গা ও বঙ্গোপসাগরের মিলনস্থান তীর্থক্ষেত্র গঙ্গাসাগর। কপিলমুনির আশ্রমকে কেন্দ্র করে এবং গঙ্গার মর্তে আসা ও সাগর রাজার পুত্রদের জীবন দানের লোকগাথাকে ঘিরে গড়ে ওঠা এই তীর্থস্থানে মকর সংক্রান্তি উপলক্ষে ভিড় জমায় লক্ষাধিক মানুষ। তাই এই মেলাকে ঘিরে শুরু হয়ে গেছে তোড়জোড়।
২৬ শে ডিসেম্বর সাগরমালার প্রস্তুতি পরিদর্শন করতে সেখানে হাজির হয়েছিলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। মেলার প্রস্তুতি নিয়ে প্রশাসনের ব্যাস্ততাও তুঙ্গে। তীর্থযাত্রীদের যাতায়াতের সুবিধার্তে মুড়িগঙ্গা নদীতে শুরু করা হয়েছে ডেজিংয়ের কাজ। জানা গেছে মেলায় কোনোরকম সমস্যা এড়াতে পর্যাপ্ত পরিমান পুলিশ মোতায়েন করা হয়েছে ও নদী পেরিয়ে কপিল মুনির আশ্রমে যাওয়ার জন্য থাকবে যথেষ্ট পরিমানে গাড়ির ব্যাবস্থা, পাশাপাশি ৩ জি ও ৪ জি অপটিক্যাল ফাইবার পেতে মোবাইল আ্যপের সাহায্যে চলবে নজরদারি। এককথায় আগত দর্শনার্থীদের জন্য মেলা জুরে থাকছে আঁটোসাঁটো নিরাপত্তা ব্যাবস্থা।
