এছাড়াও বিরাট কোহলি, বুমরাহ প্রমুখ কয়েক জন ক্রিকেটার কেও বিশ্রাম দেওয়া হবে বলে মনে করা হচ্ছে ।সীমিত ওভারের ম্যাচে রোহিত শর্মা কে অধিনায়ক নির্বাচন করা হবে বলেও শোনা যাচ্ছে ।সমস্ত দিক থেকেই তাই ওয়েস্ট ইন্ডিজ সফরের দল নির্বাচন ছিল গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ।এছাড়াও নতুন কোন খেলোয়াড় জাতীয় দলে সুযোগ পায় কিনা সেটাও দেখার বিষয় ছিল ।কিন্তু সেই কৌতুহল কে কয়েক দিনের জন্য জিইয়ে রাখতে হবে কারন ওয়েস্ট ইন্ডিজ সফরের দল নির্বাচন পিছিয়ে গেল বলে জানা গিয়েছে ভারতীয় ক্রিকেট বোর্ডের কাছ থেকে ।
