ডেস্ক রিপোর্ট, ঢাকা: আঞ্চলিক সহযোগিতা বৃদ্ধি, পারস্পারিক সম্পর্ক উন্নয়ন, প্রশিক্ষণ বিনিময় ও উভয় দেশের মধ্যে সৌহার্দ এবং ভ্রাতৃত্বপূর্ণ সম্পর্ক বজায় রাখার উদ্দেশ্যে ভারতীয় কোস্ট গার্ড বাহিনীর দুটি জাহাজ বাগেরহাটের মোংলা বন্দরে পৌঁছেছে। ৬ জানুয়ারি সোমবার দুপুর দেড়টার দিকে চারদিনের শুভেচ্ছা সফরে এসেছে আইসিজিএস সুজয় ও আইসিজিএস সরোজিনী নাইডু নামে জাহাজ দুটি। দুপুরে মোংলা বন্দরের জেটিতে ভারতীয় কোস্ট গার্ডের জাহাজ দুটি ভিড়ার সাথে সাথে বাংলাদেশ কোস্ট গার্ডের বাদক দল ব্যান্ড বাজিয়ে স্বাগত জানান।
শুভেচ্ছা সফরে আসা ওই জাহাজ দুইটির অধিনায়ক বাংলাদেশ কোস্ট গার্ডের পশ্চিম জোনের জোনাল কমান্ডার, মোংলা বন্দর কর্তৃপক্ষের চেয়ারম্যান ও খুলনা নেভাল এরিয়ার কমান্ডারের সাথে সৌজন্য সাক্ষাৎ করেছেন। এছাড়া এদেশে সফরকালে ভারতীয় কোস্ট গার্ডের জাহাজে বাংলাদেশ কোস্ট গার্ড সদস্যদের পেশাগত বিষয়ে প্রশিক্ষণ হবে। সফরকালীন সময়ে ভারতের কোস্ট গার্ডের জাহাজের কর্মকর্তা ও নাবিকেরা সুন্দরবন ভ্রমণ, খুলনা শিপইয়ার্ড, খুলনা ও বাগেরহাটের ঐতিহাসিক স্থান পরিদর্শন করবেন। পাশাপাশি দু’দেশের কোস্ট গার্ডের মধ্যে প্রীতি ভলিবল প্রতিযোগিতাও অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। এ সফরকালে স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয়ের অধিনস্থ পুলিশ, বিজিবি ও র্যাব সদস্যরা জাহাজ দুইটি পরিদর্শন করবেন।
