করোনা পরিস্থিতিতে রাজ্যজুড়ে রক্তদান শিবির প্রায় বন্ধ হতে বসেছে। এর ফলে প্রকট আকার নিয়েছে রক্ত সংকট। কলকাতা পুলিশ সহ বেশ কয়েকটি সংগঠনের পক্ষ থেকে বিশেষ সতর্কতার মধ্য দিয়ে কিছু কিছু রক্তদান শিবিরের আয়োজন করা হলেও তা প্রয়োজনের তুলনায় ন্যূনতম। এইরকম এক কঠিন পরিস্থিতির মধ্যে সুদীপ্ত গুপ্তর স্মরণে বৃহস্পতিবার রাজ্যজুড়ে রক্তদান শিবিরের আয়োজন করা হয় এসএফআইয়ের পক্ষ থেকে। কলকাতার সর্বত্রই এসএফআইয়ের বিভিন্ন ইউনিটের পক্ষ থেকে এই রক্তদান শিবির অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। এসএফআইয়ের রাজ্য দপ্তরেও আয়োজন করা হয়েছিল রক্তদান শিবিরের। পাটুলির একটি রক্তদান শিবিরে উপস্থিত ছিলেন রাজ্য বিধানসভায় বাম পরিষদীয় দলনেতার সুজন চক্রবর্তী।

সারা রাজ্যে হাজারের উপর ছাত্র এদিন রক্তদান করেছেন বলে এসএফআইয়ের পক্ষ থেকে জানানো হয়েছে। এদিন সুজন চক্রবর্তী বলেন, শুধু আজকের দিনে নয়, এই সঙ্কটের সময় যেখানেই মানুষের প্রয়োজন হবে সেখানেই ছাত্ররা পৌঁছে যাবে রক্ত দিতে। এইভাবেই সুদীপ্ত গুপ্তকে স্মরণ করবে তারা।
